Coming out of their dominant, 48-20 week 15 victory over the New York Jets, Jaguar fans were in the midst of celebrating the franchise’s first 10-win season since 2017, when news dropped that another injury had (reportedly) befallen the Jaguars’ rookie class.
Running back Bhayshul Tuten exited the game during the second half of Sunday’s matchup after rushing for seven yards on one carry and scoring on a 16-yard second-quarter reception.
Throughout 2025, the rookie Tuten has rushed for 78 carries for 284-yards, a 3.6-yard per carry average, while scoring four rushing touchdowns, and one fumble lost. He also brought in another two receiving touchdowns on ten receptions for 79-yards, in relief of starter Travis Etienne.
With the report noting that Bhayshul is expected to return from the finger surgery recovery by the playoffs, the team could opt to primarily lean on rookie LeQuint Allen in the interim, while possibly calling up preseason favorite Ja’Quinden Jackson from the team’s practice squad. It also wouldn’t be a shock were the team to decide to bring in another back as an alternative option. No matter what the team decides, based on this report, Tuten’s explosiveness and versatility will not be on display on Sunday in Denver for Jacksonville.
