The Philadelphia Eagles are cutting five players following their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday.

The Eagles will be on cloud nine for some time on the back of their inspired victory in New Orleans a week ago, but some of their players will soon be on the hunt for new homes as the front office has already gone back to work, making roster moves in the hopes of leaving the team in the best shape for the upcoming season.

13 players have been signed to reserve/future deals and will have a chance to make the roster in training camp after ending last season on the practice squad.

The team announced the signings of Tariq Castro-Fields, Elijah Cooks, Tyrion Davis-Price, Dallas Gant, Danny Gray, Gabe Hall, K.J. Henry, Ochaun Mathis, Nick Muse, Parry Nickerson, Andre’ Sam, Laekin Vakalahi, and A.J. Woods on Friday.

Philadelphia Eagles Letting Five Players Go

Five players are also set to depart, namely Ian Book, Charles Harris, Khari Blasingame, Nicholas Morrow, and Kyle Phillips.

Blasingame and Morrow played for the team in the playoffs, so their exits come as a surprise. But the NFL is a business, and such moves have to be made at the end of every season, even if you win a Super Bowl.
