Report: Pete Carroll hires Tom Cable protege to coach Raiders line

Of course, the Raiders new offensive line coach also has a long history with Pete, both on and off the field.

It’s been a busy Monday for the Seattle Seahawks, with reports indicating that the Hawks are set to hire a pair of former New Orleans Saints assistant coaches to help new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak fill out his staff.

According to a report from Big Ten network college football analyst Yogi Roth, the Las Vegas Raiders have also come to an agreement with the offensive line coach new head coach Pete Carroll will charge with coaching up the Raiders line. Digging into his past connections, Carroll has reportedly opted to hire a Tom Cable protege, who has also spent time as an assistant offensive line coach under Mike Solari.

Of course, Carroll also has history with his new o-line coach and run game coordinator, as they’ve known each other since Brennan Carroll was born.

Brennan had most recently served as the offensive coordinator an o-line coach for the Washington Huskies after serving in those same roles for the Arizona Wildcats for three years. Prior to that he was the run game coordinator for the Seahawks after spending five seasons as an assistant offensive line coach for Seattle.

Upon becoming an assistant offensive line coach for the Hawks ahead of the 2015 season it was the first time Brennan had coached the offensive line, having previously served as an offensive assistant, tight ends coach and wide receivers coach during stops at USC, Miami and with the Seahawks.
