Some believe the Pittsburgh Steelers could have the chance to add Miami Dolphins All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still in the market for a wide receiver since trading George Pickens to the Dallas Cowboys earlier this offseason. Some believe that could come in the form of Miami Dolphins five-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill.

According to ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler, multiple teams around the league are still monitoring Hill’s potential availability.

Hill, 31, is coming off his first sub-1,000-yard season since 2019. However, he is still one of the best wide receivers in the NFL when healthy, and he continued to prove that last year while recording 81 catches for 959 yards and six touchdowns.

It seems unlikely that the Dolphins would even entertain moving on from Hill, but he seemed to be seeking a trade following Miami’s 8-9 campaign last season.

“I don’t even know, bruh,” Hill told Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald. “This is my first time I haven’t been in the playoffs, man, so, I mean, for me, I’ve just got to do what’s best for me and my family. If that’s here, or wherever the case may be, I’m [about to] open that door for myself. …

“Yeah, I’m opening the door — I’m out, bruh. So, it was great playing here, but at the end of the day, I’ve got to do what’s best for my career and what’s best — because I’m too much of a competitor to be just out there.”

Hill’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, walked back on his client’s comments just a few days later, though.

“At the end of the day, he’s committed to this Dolphins football team,” Rosenhaus said. “He had an excellent meeting with [GM] Chris Green and [head coach] Mike McDaniel. I believe that Tyreek is a great asset to the Dolphins and I think he’s the least guy that people should be worried about for this organization.”

However, if anything were to change, the Steelers are believed to be among the top contenders to land Hill.

A fifth-round pick by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2016, Hill has recorded 798 catches for 11,098 yards and 82 touchdowns in his nine-year NFL career.
