The New York Jets are covered at wide receiver 1. Garrett Wilson, despite a pretty consistent degree of bad quarterback play, has emerged as a legitimate #1 option who puts up 1000 yards year-in and year-out.
After that though? Well, it’s kind of a pick your fighter situation: Josh Reynolds, Allen Lazard, Tyler Johnson, Malachi Corley, Arian Smith. They’re options as a WR2 in the way that eating sand becomes an food option if you’re stranded on a desert island.
The Jets seem to have caught onto this situation, at least if reports are to be believed that the team is interested in acquiring a wide receiver.
Who is on the wide receiver market is a bit unclear though. One team that may have the depth at WR necessary to allow for a trade is the Green Bay Packers, who would have some enticing options if they were willing to part with any of them. Whether they are is anyone’s guess.
Sans that, the somewhat likely options to fill a WR2 role are a bit uninspiring.
But what do you think? What should the Jets do about their WR2 spot?
