A new report on NFL players who could soon be traded suggested that one of the New York Giants‘ biggest draft busts ever could be moved in the next couple of weeks.

Every NFL franchise has a laundry list of draft picks that never came close to living up to expectations. The Giants are no different. Thoughts of players like Ron Dayne, Cedric Jones, Jarrod Bunch, and Tryone Wheatley still send shivers down the spine of Big Blue fans. Well, you can add Evan Neal to that list.

The former Alabama standout was the seventh overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and was thought to be a no-doubt future impact player or better in the league. However, injury woes and poor play have led to him being inactive all season after trying to move from tackle to guard in the summer. Now, it seems that his time in New York could be coming to an end very soon.

The Giants’ offensive line has seemingly improved this season, with Neal being a healthy scratch. It has also helped that they now have a far more athletic player at quarterback in rookie Jaxson Dart.

Nevertheless, getting something for him is better than letting him walk after the season. However, it says about how bad things have gotten for the offensive lineman that he would not be enough to get a draft pick back, and instead would have to be packaged with a late-round pick to get a similar selection, just at a higher spot.
