According to reports, the Buffalo Bills are bringing back wide receiver Gabe Davis. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bills are signing Davis to their practice squad, giving him time to work back into shape as he rehabs from a torn meniscus.

Davis, 26, initially joined Buffalo as a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played with the Bills for four years, totaling 163 receptions, 2,730 receiving yards, and 27 receiving touchdowns over the course of those four years. In the playoffs while with the Bills, Davis caught 22 passes for 474 yards and six touchdowns in seven contests.

Following the expiration of his rookie contract, Davis signed a free-agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars last offseason. That contract was a three-year deal worth $39 million overall. Davis’ lone season with Jacksonville was marred by injury, as he only caught 20 passes for 239 yards and two scores in 10 games last season. The Jaguars released him in May 2025.

Davis was at his best when he was used as a field-stretcher playing behind the likes of Stefon Diggs, John Brown, and Cole Beasley. The Bills’ wide receiver group has changed over since he last suited up for the Bills, as Khalil Shakir, Keon Coleman, Joshua Palmer, Curtis Samuel, Elijah Moore, and Tyrell Shavers are the six receivers currently on the 53-man roster.
