Report: 3 Shot, Gunman Dead in Shooting at Midtown Building That Houses NFL Headquarters

A frightening situation unfolded Monday at a Midtown Manhattan building that houses NFL headquarters, as police responded to an active shooter. According to the New York Post, three people were shot, including a police officer, before the gunman turned the weapon on himself.

The officer and another victim are reportedly in critical condition. The suspect was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on the 33rd floor, The Post reports.

The shooting took place at 345 Park Avenue, which is home to the NFL as well as financial firm Blackstone. The NFL’s offices are located on the building’s fifth floor. According to league reporter Ari Meirov, NFL employees were told to shelter in place.

Authorities have not released the suspect’s identity, and no motive has been disclosed.
