If Cameron Young can stick around for another two months, he’ll face the Seahawks at the end of preseason.

Former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Cameron Young has found his new team.

The 2023 fourth-round pick out of Mississippi State has signed with the Green Bay Packers. Seattle will hold a joint practice with the Packers ahead of its preseason finale at Lambeau Field.

Young played 205 defensive snaps as a rookie, appearing in all but one game. He recorded 18 tackles, a QB hit, and a pass defensed. It was a much different story in 2024, with a knee injury landing Young on injured reserve twice. He had just one appearance last season before returning to IR. Seattle waived him right before the start of the NFL Draft, making him the first member of the Seahawks’ 2023 draft class to be let go.

With a fresh start on a playoff team, we’ll see if Young’s health can hold up and he can still carve out an NFL career.

Speaking of former Seahawks, 2022 seventh-round pick Bo Melton is also on the Green Bay Packers and unlikely to make the roster as a wide receiver. The possible path to staying with the Packers? Become a cornerback like his brother Max Melton.
