New England Patriots - NESN.com
In a surprising turn of events, the New England Patriots have been one of the most captivating teams across the NFL in 2025. Thanks to an ongoing eight-game win streak, the Patriots have a 9-2 record that currently sees them sitting in the No. 2 seed in the AFC playoff picture.
With each passing week, the Pats continue to prove that they are the deal. Drake Maye has established himself as a legitimate MVP candidate, Mike Vrabel has completely changed the culture in New England, and it feels like the team has hit on at least 75% of its offseason roster moves.
Not only is the local New England region taking note of the team’s success, but the Pats are once again becoming a national phenomenon. Case in point, CBS recently revealed that the Patriots’ contest with the Tampa Buccaneers was the network’s most-watched Week 10 singleheader since 2011.
“According to CBS, the Patriots-Buccaneers game was the network’s ‘most-watched Week 10 singleheader’ since 2011 with 18.2 million viewers,” Nicole Yang wrote for the Boston Globe. “New England’s stunning turnaround seems to be garnering more attention not only locally but nationally.”
Given the team’s struggles over the past few years, it hasn’t received much national attention, which shouldn’t be a surprise. Their stunning rise back to the top of the league has captivated audiences, though. Some are rooting for Maye, who has quickly become one of the most popular players in the league, while others are hoping the Pats’ run is a fluke.
Regardless of which side of the fence you are on, the Patriots are once again one of the most-watched teams in the league. Fans will surely be tuning in for their Week 12 action against the Cincinnati Bengals, as New England will look to earn its ninth-straight win.
