The best thing for each of these players is simply more opportunities.
“I don’t think there’s any substitute for repetition,” defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile said Wednesday. “I think that’s the most important thing. People, physiologically, we’re all kind of wired the same way. You get better at doing things by doing them. You get better at football by playing football.
“I used to work for a really smart guy, he used to say, ‘less is more, that’s not true. More is more.’ If somebody offered you more money you’re not going to say, no, I want less. That’s just what it is so anytime you do more, you’re going to get better at it. And I think we’ve been doing a good job of giving these guys reps and they’ve been doing a good job of taking them to heart and trying to do the best they can.”
