Last week, Bolts from the Blue polled Los Angeles Chargers fans on who they believe will lead the team in offensive touchdowns in the 2025 season. More than half of all Chargers fans see first-round rookie running back Omarion Hampton being the one to take the lead.

If Hampton ends up leading the Chargers in touchdowns, it wouldn’t be a first for him on a roster. At North Carolina, Hampton led the team in scrimmage touchdowns twice (2022-23), even leading the ACC in 2022 (16 TDs).

The poll last week was made prior to the sudden retirement of wide receiver Mike Williams, but fans did not project him to be the leading impact scorer, receiving only one percent of the vote.

While Hampton received the majority of votes, his expected running-game partner, Najee Harris, received the third-most votes at 13%. The duo received a total of 73% of all votes, with second-place being wide receiver Ladd McConkey, who was just two touchdowns last season from tying J.K. Dobbins for the lead.

With Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman, it won’t come as easily for a wide receiver to lead the team in scrimmage touchdowns, but McConkey’s impact paired with quarterback Justin Herbert’s ability could see the second-year wideout crack double-digit touchdowns.
