Reacts Results: Confidence peaks after Rams upset

The Carolina Panthers are in the driver’s seat of their own December playoff dreams for the first time since 2017. The path won’t be easy, but the simple mantra of “win and you’re in” holds true for the Panthers. If they win out then will take the NFC South title and a home playoff game. They even have some wiggle room for a loss or two depending on how the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a handful of wildcard teams perform in the coming weeks.

That’s all possible because of last week’s upset win against the Los Angeles Rams, the then-one seed in the NFC playoff picture. That the Panthers were able to win that game and that they are now in a position to compete for the playoffs has raised fan confidence to a new season high in our weekly Reacts poll.

91% of fans are confident in the direction of this team, even though just a week ago a majority of fans had no trust in Bryce Young. That’s a weird and perfectly Panthers position to be in. Confidence can come in many forms, however, and that does not mean that fans are still expecting great things from the team this season. That’s why we asked for a final win prediction from y’all as we head into the last quarter of the season.

Perhaps more shockingly, 91% of fans also expect Carolina to finish the season with some description of a winning record. They only need to win two out of their remaining four games to make that a reality, and only one percent of us expect the Panthers to lose out from here. The important thing is that a vocal and prescient minority are on the bandwagon that this team can still win ten games.
