Ravens vs. Texans Week 5: Game Thread

There is no way to sugarcoat the Baltimore Ravens’ situation heading into Week 5. They are 1-3, missing several of their best players, including Lamar Jackson, and will be starting Cooper Rush at quarterback and Joe Noteboom at left tackle against the Houston Texans.

Dire does not begin to describe it. Sunday’s game will require several depth players to step up and a near-perfect 60 minutes from the coaching staff. The way the season has gone so far, the former feels more likely than the latter.

After their loss to the Chiefs, the Ravens needed to win one game before their Week 7 bye, after which Jackson would hopefully be back on the field. That victory feels more likely to come in Week 6 against the Rams rather than Sunday against the Texans.
