Ravens-Texans odds swing after Lamar Jackson injury news
Baltimore Beatdown Baltimore Beatdown

On Tuesday morning, the Baltimore Ravens were 3.5-point favorites for their Week 5 matchup against the Houston Texans.

After news that Lamar Jackson was likely to miss the game, the betting line swung by four points. The Ravens are now 1.5-point home underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

Jackson’s absence will obviously be a major, if not fatal, blow to Baltimore’s offense. The Texans defense has allowed the fewest points in the NFL through four games and ranks fifth in total defense, giving backup Cooper Rush a tough matchup in his first extended action as a Ravens.

Though Houston’s offense has stumbled out of the gate, they should have a bounce-back opportunity against a banged-up Baltimore defense that was struggling when it was healthy. Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud has thrown three interceptions this season and will need to make similar mistakes on Sunday for the Ravens to have a chance.
