Baltimore Beatdown
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey will play through an illness on Sunday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Ravens’ list of inactives did not include Humphrey, who was added to the injury report late in the week with an illness. He was designated as questionable on Friday, but will take the field in Pittsburgh with the season on the line.
Baltimore will once again roll with four interior defensive linemen by sidelining rookie Aeneas Peebles. Undrafted rookie Keyon Martin will not be needed as the team’s No. 2 nickel with Humphrey active (and the Ravens’ safeties frequently lining up in the slot, too). Cooper Rush was designated as emergency third quarterback, while Joe Noteboom will spend another game on the bench with rookie Carson Vinson serving as the swing tackle.
The Ravens also deactivated practice squad elevations Keith Kirkwood and Amani Oruwariye. Kirkwood was elevated in Week 18 last year to receive a bigger game check, while Humphrey’s availability meant Oruwariye was no longer needed. (Oruwariye’s elevation may also have been for a bigger game check, as Martin could have been active if Humphrey could not play.)
The Steelers had a clean injury report heading into the game, so all of their inactives are healthy scratches:
