Baltimore Ravens tight end Isaiah Likely was carted to the locker room at the end of practice on Tuesday, suffering an apparent lower-leg injury, according to Jonas Shaffer and Giana Han of The Baltimore Banner.
Head coach John Harbaugh said Likely rolled his ankle and is expected to be out a few weeks. He’ll undergo an MRI tomorrow to confirm the severity.
Likely suffered the injury during a one on one rep against safety Sanoussi Kane. Likely went down and was seen grabbing his left leg near his ankle. He punched the ground in frustration. He later hobbled into the Ravens’ facility, putting very little weight on his foot, according to The Baltimore Banner.

Likely is a key piece on the Ravens offense. Last season, he recorded 42 receptions for 477 yards and six touchdowns. In his three-year career, he has 108 receptions for 1,261 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Likely has had 12 catches for 147 yards and three touchdowns in six career games against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the Wild Card game last season, Likely had three receptions for 53 yards.
With training camp underway, the Ravens are now the new Super Bowl favorites at BetOnline.ag (13/2). The Buffalo Bills (7/1), defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (7/1), Kansas City Chiefs (8/1) and Detroit Lions (9/1) round of the top 5.
The oddsmakers apparently love what Baltimore has done this offseason. In June, All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander signed a one-year, $6 million deal with the Ravens. He had better offers but wanted to be in Baltimore. Alexander reunites with his former teammate at Louisville, Lamar Jackson.
Alexander joins a Ravens secondary that features All-Pro cornerback Marlon Humphrey, second-year cornerback Nate Wiggins, veteran cornerback Chidobe Awuzier, rookie safety Malaki Starks and All-Pro safety Kyle Hamilton. On paper, the Ravens are loaded in the secondary.
Losing Likely for a significant period would be a big loss for Baltimore, but it appears he’ll be good to go for Week 1.
