Quarterback: D
Cooper Rush drew another start in-place of Lamar Jackson and was uninspiring again, to say the least. Rush completed 11-of-19 throws for just 72 yards before being replaced by Tyler Huntley to start the fourth quarter. Rush’s interception early in the game was costly and he misfired on a handful of other passes. Huntley gave the offense a little more juice but they were still unable to score. “Snoop” threw 15 passes in garbage time, completing 10 for only 68 yards. He scrambled three times for 39 yards with a 19-yard pickup on fourth-and-long.
Running Back: B+
The Ravens finally found some consistency in the running game against the Rams, with Derrick Henry having his best performance since Week 1. Henry saw a healthy workload with 24 carries and rushed for 122 yards despite his longest run only going for 12 yards. He was not able to punch in a 4th-and-goal attempt just before halftime from one yard out of the end zone, but the blocking in front of him was blown up on that play. Justice Hill rushed six times for only 16 yards while catching five passes for 28 additional yards.
Wide Receiver: D+
Zay Flowers, who was questionable entering this game with a shoulder injury, had a forgettable performance. Although he caught a team-high six passes and was overthrown when open a couple times, Flowers’ fumble early in the third quarter deflated a potential game-tying scoring drive. The Rams scored a touchdown two plays later to take a 14-point lead. Flowers then bobbled an end-around handoff attempt on the next drive, resulting in another costly fumble. Rashod Bateman was a non-factor again with only one catch and Deandre Hopkins also had two catches for 20 yards. No other wide receiver was targeted on the day.
Tight End: C–
Mark Andrews was targeted six times and caught four passes, but all of the short variety. Andrews gained only 24 yards through the air. His fellow tight ends made an even more minimal impact. Isaiah Likely caught two receptions for just six yards, while Charlie Kolar had no catches on one target. This group’s production has been disappointing this season even overall even with Jackson under center and the offense humming more in the first few weeks. They did at least appear to fare much better in the run blocking department.
Offensive Line: C+
The Ravens got more push up front in the run game and created more rushing lanes for Henry. Running for 179 yards on 37 attempts, but only one run going for longer than 12 yards, is kudos to solid run blocking. The Ravens were without Ronnie Stanley for much of the game as the starting left tackle exited early again with an ankle injury. They still surrendered pressure at a high rate with the Rams racking up four sacks, all in the fourth quarter, and 11 total quarterback hits. Turnovers were more of the team’s undoing offensively than the offensive line...
