Ravens release Justin Tucker

Tucker is the most accurate kicker in NFL history.

One of the best kickers in NFL history is officially leaving the AFC North.

On Monday, the Baltimore Ravens cut Justin Tucker, the team’s primary kicker since the 2012 NFL season. Tucker had 50 career field goals against the Cincinnati Bengals, the second most of any kicker vs. Cincinnati.

The Ravens called this a football decision, though a big reason for it is likely due to the ongoing investigation for sexual misconduct allegations.

The 35-year-old Tucker is an eight-time All-Pro and the most accurate kicker in NFL history (89.1%). However, he’s coming off the worst season of his career after hitting just 22/30 field goals and 60/62 extra points last season. That led to the Ravens spending a sixth-round NFL Draft pick on Arizona Wildcats kicker Tyler Loop.

This may mark the end of Tucker’s NFL career, which was worthy of Pro Football Hall of Fame consideration, at least before the allegations and his disastrous 2024 season.
