The Baltimore Ravens are retaining Keith Kirkwood to reinforce depth at wider receiver.
The Baltimore Ravens are bringing back another familiar face to reinforce their pass-catching corps by re-signing veteran wide receiver Keith Kirkwood to a reserve/future contract per the NFL transaction wire and as reported by KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson on Wednesday.
The seven-year veteran spent the entire 2024 season on the Ravens practice squad and will get a chance to earn a roster spot again this year barring any changes between now and August. Kirkwood appeared in all three preseason games for the team last season and recorded five receptions for 56 receiving yards and key impressive first-down conversions.
Kirkwood came into the league as an undrafted free agent out of Temple in 2018 and spent the first six years of his career in the NFC South between the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers. He spent his first two seasons with the Saints, the next two in the Panthers and the last two back where his career started.
In 32 career games between the regular and postseason, Kirkwood has recorded 26 receptions on 45 targets for 302 receiving yards and four touchdowns. His rookie year was the most productive of his career in which he recorded the bulk of his numbers with 15 catches on 23 targets for 217 receiving yards and three touchdowns and played his lone playoff game.
Kirkwood marks the 12th player the Ravens have signed to a reserve futures contract since the season ended and joins fellow seven-year veteran Anthony Miller as the only other elder statesmen under contract in an otherwise young position group.
