Baltimore Beatdown
Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is inactive for Saturday night’s matchup with the Green Bay Packers. Backup Tyler Huntley will start in his place.
Jackson was not expected to play after missing practice all week with a back injury suffered against the Patriots in Week 15. This is his fourth absence of the season.
Huntley will face off against Packers backup quarterback Malik Willis, as starter Jordan Love is also officially inactive for tonight’s contest. Green Bay’s other inactives include starting right tackle Zach Tom and first-round rookie receiver Savion Williams. Jordan Morgan will take Tom’s place along the offensive line, while the Packers will distribute Williams’ snaps and targets in their rotation-heavy receiver room.
Ravens undrafted rookie linebacker Jay Higgins will make his first appearance since Week 10 after a six-week stint on injured reserve due to a knee injury. He will add depth to special teams that lost Chandler Martin and Teddye Buchanan in Weeks 14 and 15.
The Ravens gave second-year wideout Devontez Walker the nod over Tylan Wallace, and Ar’Darius Washington’s return from an offseason Achilles tear has edged undrafted rookie nickel Keyon Martin out of the secondary rotation. Offensive tackle Joseph Noteboom and defensive tackle Aeneas Peebles have frequently been healthy scratches this season.
