Jackson has already missed several games this season due to injury. From Weeks 4-8, he was sidelined with a hamstring injury. Then he popped up on the injury report again with a knee injury in Week 11 and an ankle injury in Week 12.

It’s unclear how serious his fourth injury of the season is, and it’s likely the Ravens are just being cautious given the multitude of injuries he’s already dealt with. However, it will certainly be a situation to monitor for the Steelers, who still have two meetings with their division rival in Weeks 14 and 18.

Pittsburgh’s defense is already off to an historically bad pace this season, and having to face Jackson will only make things more difficult for the struggling unit.

When Jackson has played this season, he has looked like his normal self for the most part, completing 130 of his 195 passes (66.7%) for 1,595 yards, 15 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He’s also added another 237 yards and a score on the ground.

After starting the season 1-5, Baltimore has rattled off five straight wins to take back the lead in the AFC North, which they are now the favorites to win.

That could change once again if Jackson were to miss time, though. During his absence, Ravens backup quarterback Cooper Rush threw for just 303 yards, zero touchdowns and four interceptions. Third string quarterback Tyler Huntley even stepped in.

The Steelers still need to figure out their own woes, but they may just be getting some outside help once again as they look to end their eight-year postseason win drought this year.

The No. 32 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, Jackson has thrown for 21,654 yards, 181 touchdowns and 52 interceptions while also running for 6,410 yards and 34 more scores in his professional career.
