Ravens open as surprising favorites for Week 4 trip to Kansas City
Baltimore Beatdown Baltimore Beatdown

The Ravens’ 38-30 loss to the Lions on Monday night did not shake the confidence of betting markets, as Baltimore opened as 2.5-point favorites to beat the Chiefs in Kansas City next Sunday.

Both teams are off to disappointing starts to the 2025 season with 1-2 records. The Chiefs dropped their first two games of the season to the Chargers and the Eagles before rebounding against the Giants on Sunday. That win against a struggling New York squad did not convince oddsmakers that they could take down Lamar Jackson and the Ravens this weekend, even at home.

However, the Ravens haven’t walked out of Arrowhead Stadium with a victory since 2012. Their injured defensive line will have a tough matchup against the Chiefs’ elite guard-center duo of Trey Smith and Creed Humphrey, and their defense was in complete disarray in matchups against the Bills and the Lions.

The Chiefs have looked plenty beatable to start the season with only 60 points scored through three games. Their defense has been more stout, allowing just 56 points, the ninth-fewest in the league, but a below-average run-stopping unit may give Derrick Henry a bounce-back opportunity on Sunday.
