Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is now questionable to return with a back injury against the New England Patriots.
After the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Detroit Lions, all eyes shifted to the Baltimore Ravens. If the Ravens lose, the Steelers can punch their postseason ticket sooner than week 18. In the second quarter, quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered a new injury.

Jackson is now listed as questionable to return with a back injury suffered during the second quarter of Sunday night’s pivotal game against the New England Patriots. Tyler Huntley stepped in to kneel out the clock in a tied first half.
If Jackson is unable to return, this will mark Huntley’s third game of extensive action on the year. Baltimore is 1-3 so far in games where Jackson didn’t play or finish the game healthy.
What may be even more unsettling for the Ravens is the fact that week 18 may be meaningless if they can’t pull away with a victory tonight. After the Steelers won in Detroit, they can clinch the division with a win next week in Cleveland–if the Ravens lose Sunday night.
While Huntley has stepped in to lead the Ravens to the playoffs before–most recently in 2022–the stakes are much higher. Losing Jackson could be costly for Baltimore on Sunday night if he is unable to return and help the team win.
Currently, the Steelers and Ravens are scheduled to face off in week 18. A win for the Ravens tonight keeps them alive and sets up a likely win-or-go-home scenario. The winner of the week 18 matchup in that scenario would take the division, assuming Baltimore also wins in Green Bay next week.
