Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has addressed the bombshell report that his relationship with quarterback Lamar Jackson is broken.

It’s been a tremendously disappointing season for the Ravens. They entered 2025 as prime Super Bowl contenders. But they’re 7-8 with two games to go, needing to win out and have the Pittsburgh Steelers drop their final two games to win the AFC North.

On Wednesday, a shocking report stated that John Harbaugh is “tired of” Lamar Jackson. The report, from Mike Preston of The Baltimore Sun, also suggested that Jackson may welcome a trade to the Miami Dolphins.

Harbaugh was asked about the report during Wednesday’s press conference. The future Hall of Fame coach claims that there’s nothing wrong between the two and that they still have a strong relationship:

“I don’t know where it’s coming from,” Harbaugh said, via Jacob Camenker of USA Today. “I’ve never seen that ever. That’s not something that I’ve ever witnessed and I’m in every meeting.”

If there is friction between the two, John Harbaugh isn’t going to say it outright. However, remember that Jackson requested a trade from the Ravens in 2023, before agreeing to a $260 million extension.

John Harbaugh & Lamar Jackson Are Better Off Together

Only a small circle of people knows the actual dynamic of the Harbaugh-Jackson working relationship. But at the end of the day, these two are better off staying together.

The Ravens have made the playoffs six times in the Harbaugh-Jackson era. It would likely be seven if Jackson didn’t miss valuable time in the 2021 season. These two have emerged as a top-tier HC-QB duo, and there’s no guarantee of either side succeeding without the other.

Harbaugh and Jackson must stay focused on finishing the 2025 season on a high note. If they sneak into the postseason, tensions should ease in Baltimore.
