Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is likely to miss Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans with a hamstring injury, according to Brian Wacker of The Baltimore Sun. Wacker adds that Jackson could be out for up to 2-3 weeks.

Jackson suffered the hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. In Jackson’s absence, Cooper Rush completed 9 of 13 passes for 52 yards.

Rush entered the league in 2017 and spent most of his career with the Dallas Cowboys before signing in Baltimore this offseason. Rush is expected to start in Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans at M&T Bank Stadium.

After Houston, the Ravens host the Los Angeles Rams and then have a bye week.

The two-time MVP has had a history of injuries that have caused him to miss multiple games across three seasons. Most recently, he missed the remainder of the 2022 season, including a playoff loss in Cincinnati.

However, he has stayed healthy the past two seasons. Jackson’s lone game missed was for rest in the final game of the 2023 regular season against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Ravens are dealing with a slew of injuries right now. Linebacker Roquan Smith was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain and he’ll miss a few weeks, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Star defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike will miss the rest of the 2025 season with a neck injury, head coach John Harbaugh announced.

Madubuike, 27, was placed on the injured reserve list on Saturday with a neck injury. Harbaugh was vague in providing details about the specific diagnosis for Madbuike and how the Ravens ascertained that he will be out for the season.

“A lot of that is things that he needs to address with you guys in his time,” Harbaugh said. “I really can’t speak for him. I wouldn’t want to. Those are questions that would be best answered by him going forward.”

The Ravens were tabbed as Super Bowl favorites prior to the start of the season. Despite a loaded roster, the Ravens have failed to live up to expectations through four games. Harbaugh feels like Sunday could be a get-right game for his 1-3 club.

“That’ll be our opportunity to get going and get our momentum going a little bit,” Harbaugh said.
