The Baltimore Ravens could be without three-time Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews for the 2025 season and beyond.

The Baltimore Ravens have won the AFC North in back-to-back seasons, but they may have to try to three-peat as division champs without a significant piece on offense.

According to Jamison Hensley of ESPN, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta was noncommittal when asked if he expected three-time Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews to remain on the team.

“I never know what’s going to happen,” DeCosta said at the Ravens’ pre-draft news conference. “And I would never want to say this or that. But I can tell you this: Mark Andrews is a warrior. He’s played his butt off for us.”

Andrews, 29, is entering the final year of his four-year, $56 million contract and is coming off one of the more disappointing seasons of his seven-year NFL career.

In 2024, he had just 55 catches for 673 yards, averaging 39.6 receiving yards per game — the worst since his 2018 rookie season.

Andrews was also highly criticized for dropping a 2-point conversion in Baltimore’s 27-25 AFC divisional-round playoff loss in Buffalo. There has been a lot of speculation whether the team would be willing to move on from him since.

That doesn’t mean Andrews doesn’t have any good football left in him, though. He has arguably been quarterback Lamar Jackson’s favorite target over the past seven seasons, ranking third in franchise history with 436 receptions and second with 5,530 yards receiving.

Andrews also surpassed Jamal Lewis as the Ravens’ all-time touchdown leader last season with a total of 51 in his career.

Baltimore would gain $11 million in cap space by parting ways with Andrews and has plenty of depth at tight end with rising backup Isaiah Likely, who had a career-high 42 catches for 477 yards and six touchdowns last season.

However, unlike DeCosta, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh gave a vote of confidence for Andrews at the annual league meeting last month.

“I do fully expect him to be playing for us next year,” Harbaugh said. “He’s just too good a player. Mark would be one of the few guys I would expect to be here, so we’ll see what happens.”

Only time will tell whether Baltimore will keep Andrews, but it seems far from a sure thing with just eight days until the 2025 NFL Draft.
