The Baltimore Ravens could be without one of the best defenders for an extended period of time.

The Baltimore Ravens defense seems to have taken a massive hit following their 41-17 win over the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.

According to ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler, Ravens Pro Bowl edge rusher Kyle Van Noy is bracing to potentially miss multiple games due to a hamstring injury that he suffered on Sunday.

If that is true, it will certainly hurt Baltimore’s chances of remaining an elite unit on defense.

Van Noy, 34, has been one of the Ravens’ top defenders since joining them in 2023, setting careers highs in sacks over the past two seasons with nine in 2023 and then 12.5 in 2024.

However, the Pittsburgh Steelers don’t seem to be getting out of having to face Van Noy, barring his injury being more significant than currently thought.

The Steelers’ first meeting with Baltimore isn’t until Week 14 of the 2025 regular season. Their second meeting then doesn’t come until the final week of the regular season in Week 18.

That gives Van Noy plenty of time to heal up and be at full health for when arguably the best rivalry in football kicks off later this season.

A two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, Van Noy has recorded 545 tackles, 55 sacks, 14 forced fumbles, 10 fumble recoveries, 35 passes defensed, three interceptions and one touchdown in his 12-year NFL career.
