Ranking Best Prime Time Matchups on Steelers 2025 Schedule
Steelers Now Steelers Now

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to face off in five prime time games as revealed by the 2025 NFL Schedule release Wednesday night.

The NFL and Pittsburgh Steelers released their full 2025 season schedule. The Steelers will be featured in four prime-time slots for 17 games.

Steelers fans can start planning their trips accordingly, as all dates and times are set for the season. While there is potential for some late-season flexes, four matchups are lined up as of now.

These slots include divisional battles, potential revenge games, and some December football. Here is where we are ranking these nationally televised games.

Green Bay Packer at Pittsburgh Steelers – Week 8 Sunday Night Football

This is obviously contingent on Aaron Rodgers being the Steelers quarterback. The future Hall of Fame quarterback would have a chance to beat his 32nd team in the regular season. The ratings likely will be compared to Tom Brady against the New England Patriots or Brett Favre against the Packers.

The Steelers and Packers also tend to produce competitive games. Five of the past six contests between these historical franchises have been decided by six points or less. The last time these two teams faced off in prime time, Chris Boswell followed up a spectacular Antonio Brown sideline catch with a game-winning 53-yard field goal.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Pittsburgh Steelers in Ireland – Week 4 International Series

12 years after the Steelers played the Vikings in their first-ever international regular-season game, they will face off again. This time, of course, the Steelers will play host in Ireland’s first-ever regular-season game.

The Vikings surprised the league with the resurgence of Sam Darnold and now put their eggs in the J.J. McCarthy basket. Pittsburgh has taken three of the last five games. This sets up to be a fun trip for Steelers fans–and an opportunity to enjoy an Irish breakfast in their local pub at home.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Los Angeles Chargers – Week 10 Sunday Night Football

Pittsburgh got the best of Justin Herbert and the Chargers in their home opener last season. The matchup before Herbert diced up the black and gold defense after Ben Roethlisberger clawed them back into the game.

Of the past five matchups, four have been decided by seven points or less. Pittsburgh has also taken three of the last five contests. Plus, Mike Tomlin teams facing off against a Harbaugh-led squad seem to always turn heads and excite.

There’s also a former Steelers running back and wide receiver eager to take the field.

Miami Dolphins at Pittsburgh Steelers – Week 15 Monday Night Football

Few things go better together than Pittsburgh and Monday Night Football at home. Few things go worse together than Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins in December cold games. This is a recipe for the Steelers to build themselves against what is still a lethal offense, especially before their daunting closeout to the season.

Since the 2002 division realignment, Pittsburgh is 4-1 against Miami in the Steel City....
