Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 2/3/25

The Los Angeles Rams twitter account had some fun with the wild trade of Luca Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers. You can read the tweet below; it looks like the Rams are fully embracing the arrival of Doncic. I am going to guess most Lakers fans are pretty pumped.

Rams legend Andrew Whitworth drops sneaky reason why Luka Doncic’s Lakers partnership will work (clutchpoints)

“It involves the numbers they wear. Whitworth established himself as a Pro Bowler and later, Super Bowl LVI winner while wearing No. 77 for the Rams. Guess what number Doncic is? “Big Whit” shared how “bringing 7’s to L.A. has worked before!!!”

“The report says it will be held at the MCG, a 100,000-seater multi-purpose stadium that is used for cricket and AFL (Australian Rules Football).

The Eagles are in next week’s Super Bowl in New Orleans against Kansas City Chiefs and lifted the trophy in 2018. The Rams, meanwhile, won the Super Bowl in 2022.

This season, the Rams lost to the Eagles in the playoffs in a gripping 28-22 divisional round game in the snow in Philadelphia.”

REPORT: One Free Agent the Rams Must Consider This Offseason (si.com)

“The Los Angeles Rams face a pivotal offseason filled with many questions on both sides of the ball. While the most pressing question surrounding the Rams right now concerns quarterback Matthew Stafford, the Rams’ defense also has questions.

The Rams have built out their defense using primarily the NFL Draft and will likely continue to do so again this offseason. However, Los Angeles has a chance to sprinkle in a few quality veteran options in free agency.”
