Happy Friday and let’s start our Los Angeles Rams’ links today with a semi-light story about the So-Fi Stadium hawks (did you know the stadium had hawks to keep other birds away?) as apparently the birds went missing a couple weeks ago, but at least one has been found while another reamains missing.
I suppose if you are a lover of birds then this is a not a semi-light story at all!
I thought it was an interesting piece of news, and it had to do with the Rams so I went with it for today’s Random Ramsdom.
Wish we talked about something else today? Then get the conversation started in the comments below! Don’t be shy, let’s go! Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times and let’s get through the work part of Friday and dive into the weekend!
“A hawk stolen from SoFi Stadium last month during a game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Indianapolis Colts was returned to its rightful owner, while a second hawk remains missing.
The two birds, named Bubba and Alice, were hired by the stadium to deter other birds from the area during games and events. But on Sept. 28, the birds were stolen by an unknown suspect along with the utility task vehicle (UTV) the birds were being held in.“
“The Ravens will likely be without two-time MVP Lamar Jackson behind the center as the quarterback is dealing with a hamstring injury and has yet to return to practice this week.
Jackson being out would benefit the Rams’ defensive front as the D-line won’t have to chase the speedy, evasive QB. Instead, it would be Cooper Rush who would fill in for the injured quarterback.“
“This week’s Los Angeles Rams vs. Baltimore Ravens game had a much different feel four months ago when the schedule was released. It was a rematch of their epic overtime game from 2023, one the Ravens won on a punt return touchdown on the final play of the day.
Some even saw it as a potential Super Bowl preview, with the Rams looking like an underrated contender and Baltimore appearing to be one of the best teams in the AFC. Now, it’s a matchup between two teams heading in opposite directions. The Rams are 3-2 and still have a championship-caliber roster. The Ravens are 1-4 and most likely without Lamar Jackson, as well as several other key starters on defense.“
”Then comes the Jags, who look good now. This week is at least must win adjacent.“ (Rams62)
