There are times in life when we find ourselves at a crossroads, and the Los Angeles Rams are at a crossroads with their kicker. Do they stay the course with Joshua Karty (the Karty Party!), or should the make a move to Harrison Mevis (AKA the Thiccer Kicker)?
Call me crazy, I think I’ve seen enough of Karty and I feel bad saying that (I really want it to work out!), and I really don’t think that if the Rams cut him that someone else scoops him up right away (but the NFL can for sure prove me wrong there), so maybe it would make sense for L.A. to give Mevis a chance, but then again, if Mevis doesn’t work out, what do the Rams do? Go back to Karty? Find someone else no other team wants?
Castoff kickers can find success elsewhere, we’ve seen it with Matt Gay and the Rams, but a team would rather have a kicker that works, than shuffle through someone they “hope” works.
Good thing for me, I don’t have to make any decision for the Rams. I get to sit back and relax/stress about the decisions they make, and right now there may be no bigger question mark for the Rams, than their kicker position.
