The Los Angeles Rams beat the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, but their special teams struggled mightily in both the kicking game and the coverage game. It’s become a theme for the Rams this year that their special teams is inconsistent, and it’s concerning for the team that would easily have at least one more win (maybe two) if their special teams played at an adequate level.
Are the special teams the weakest phase of this team when compared to the offense and defense?
Either way, I am not really sure what the Rams will do with Joshua Karty or their coordinator Chase Blackburn.
Feel free to share you thoughts about the special teams, changes you might make or comment on whatever you want and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
“Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty’s field-goal attempt went off the right upright and made one of the loudest doinks of the season, creating a buzz among NFL fans on Sunday.
Karty seemingly had a chip-shot attempt from 26 yards out against the Baltimore Ravens. The make would have tied the game at 3-3 in the first quarter. Instead, the moment went viral across social media as the Rams’ special teams issues continue.“
“Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum (ankle) did not return in Sunday’s win over the Ravens after exiting in the second quarter. Wide receiver Puka Nacua returned in the second half after suffering an ankle injury in the second quarter, head coach Sean McVay told reporters. McVay added that he’s unsure if Nacua will be ready to play in Week 7.“
