Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 7/29/25
I wanted to get a temperature of the room and ask Los Angeles Rams fans if they are worried about Matthew Stafford and his aching back? Me personally, I’m not worried. It’s July, I believe this is Stafford’s 17th season, so long story short, I think this is part of the Rams plan and they can afford to have him sit out, for now.
If we are getting to Week One and Stafford is truly questionable, then I’ll be singing in a different key.
But what is your level of concern? High? Low? None of the above?
Please comment on whatever you want and thanks for checking out Turf Show Times! Enjoy the last few days of July!
“Matthew Stafford will not practice next week,” McVay said. “We are going to still take some more time with him, though. Nothing that’s changed in terms of a setback. I probably spoke a little bit too soon, but the ultimate goal is Houston and being mindful of that. So we’ll take it a week at a time with him.”
“I look at Jimmy; he’s a starting quarterback. And so what’s cool about that, though, is the respect and reverence he has for Matthew and the way that Matthew leads that room, but Jimmy has played at a really high level, and he’s going into year 12. He’s got so many things to bring to the table, and we were really fortunate that he chose to come back here because he had a lot of other opportunities,” McVay said.
McVay did not stop there; he also pointed to Garoppolo’s lone start last season, in the Rams’ final regular-season game. Garoppolo completed 27 of his 41 passes for 334 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Rams’ five-point loss to the Seattle Seahawks.”
“I mean, that’s the only thing that drives me at this point,” Adams said on Inside Rams Camp this weekend. “It’s not about the money or the statistics. All of that stuff takes care of itself. Whether I’m focused on the money or not, the check is going to be there. But whether I’m focused on winning or not, that doesn’t automatically come. I’m really focused on that, especially having some ups and downs over these last few years. I’m just excited to get back on the page where we just continue to climb and ascend and win. That makes football a lot more fun.”
