Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 5/24/25

Do you think the San Francisco 49ers window is closing? I am starting to think they know what they are doing, and that they will be the biggest challenge to the Los Angeles Rams for the NFC West.

I think signing Brock Purdy will work out for them, I think they were smart to move Deebo Samuel, the extended Fred Warner. I think this team can make noise.

Disagree? Let us know in the comments below! And if you do disagree, I hope you are right! I would rather the 49ers Super Bowl window closed, than stayed opened. Time will tell.

Comment on whatever you want and I hope you can have a great weekend! A holiday weekend, in fact, for some.

Former Player Sees 49ers in Rebuild Mode as Rams Surge (si.com)

“According to former safety Donte Whitner, the 49ers would be wise to remove their fingers before their window slams shut.

“I do believe that the 49ers’ window is closing,” Whitner told Kay Adams on Wednesday’s edition of Up & Adams. “So many players are getting what they rightfully deserve and that’s top contracts. NFL Insider Explains When to Expect Ramsey to be Traded (si.com)

“NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe explained where things stand with Ramsey and potential suitors. While the Rams could use Ramsey’s services, the Dolphins would a save a large amount of money by waiting to trade Ramsey until after June 1st.

“I was told nothing is imminent,” Wolfe said. “There had been conversations draft weekend and throughout May in regards to Jalen Ramsey. There’s interest, but right now there’s nothing imminent. There’s nothing closing at this moment. It’s been relatively quiet but one thing I was told was to keep an eye on that (June) 1st date. The Dolphins would take over a $25 million cap hit if they traded him before (June) 1st. That number drops to under $7 million if they trade him after (June) 1st,” Wolfe said.”

Here’s what Sean McVay and Les Snead said privately about every Rams pick during ‘25 draft (ramswire)

“Now that the Los Angeles Rams are about a month removed from the 2025 NFL Draft, we’ve heard Les Snead and Sean McVay talk about the players they landed multiple times. They couldn’t be more excited about their six-player class, though that’s probably how every general manager and head coach feels about their haul.

What’s really telling is how the Rams talked about these players during the draft before they were picked, or even immediately after the selections were made. Thanks to Episode 2 of “Behind the Grind”, we know exactly how Snead and McVay feel about each of the six players they...
