Rams are 1 of 8 teams to unveil “Rivalries” uniform set...
The NFL Draft provided plenty of headlines over the weekend; ranging from the Jacksonville Jaguars trade up to No. 2 overall to Derrick Harmon’s mother passing shortly after getting drafted to Shedeur Sanders draft slide. One story that went mostly unnoticed was the NFL’s latest uniform announcement. The NFL and Nike are launching a series of uniforms called “Rivalries”; an initiative similar to the MLB and its City Connect jerseys. The Los Angeles Rams are 1 of 8 teams (NFC West and AFC East) to feature the first installment of uniforms across the 2025 season.

Each participating team will wear a unique Rivalries uniform with designs rooted extensively in local community insights during a single home game against a division rival. The designs have been brought to life by pulling inspiration from the history of each market and the aspects of the community that only that team’s city embodies.
Following their reveal, these Rivalries uniforms will be included in their team’s uniform lineup for three years after introduction, in addition to existing alternate uniforms. Teams from the AFC South and NFC North will debut their Rivalries uniforms in 2026, followed by NFC East and AFC West teams in 2027, and teams from the AFC North and NFC South in 2028.
Fans and community will be included in the new initiative. The thought behind the new series is that organizations will be able to draw upon history, culture, and its community to create specially designed uniforms and fan gear. The new Rivalries jerseys will be available to fans along with other miscellaneous merchandise on websites like Nike.com, NFLShop.com, and Fanatics.com.

It will do them well to be careful and creative with a new look in 2025. Will Los Angeles add a new white uniform perhaps giving tribute to the 1960s? Or it will add a new royal uniform since its 2020 version was generally unfavorable? We’ll know more soon. At least the last time that LA introduced a new alternate uniform, they won the Super Bowl...
