The Rams have agreed to a five-year contract with Myles Garrett, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk. Details of the contract, most importantly average annual salary and guaranteed money, are not yet available. Florio reports that the contract runs through 2030 and also has options running through 2038 to bring down the annual salary. Garrett had a contract worth $40 million per season, but the going rate for a top pass rusher has already gone up to $50 million since then.

“Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the Rams and Garrett have worked out a new deal. It’s a five-year deal covering 2026 through 2030, with available options through 2038. (The options are surely present for cap purposes.)”

On Wednesday, our own Kenneth Arthur asked if the Rams and Garrett would agree on a new contract, and less than 24 hours later, it happened.

Garrett’s compensation for 2026 has reportedly gone up from $31.5 million to $37 million, giving Garrett a raise of $5.5 million right now. That’s about all we know about the terms so far.

Although Garrett turns 31 later this year, L.A. clearly does not see this trade as a rental for one Super Bowl push like they did with Von Miller in 2021. Garrett is viewed as a player who could play at a high level for at least four more seasons.

The terms of the contract are not available yet—Turf Show Times will update the post when those details come out—but what’s clear is that the Rams remain committed to winning a Super Bowl.
