The Los Angeles Rams opened training camp 2026 on Saturday as players reported. They made two injury-related moves on Sunday:
Key reserve offensive lineman Justin Dedich was placed on the non-football injury list (NFI). Cornerback Al’zillion Hamilton—someone who earned attention from fans in TST’s 53-man roster prediction exercise—will open camp on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.
The NFI designation means Dedich’s injury occured away from team-sponsored activities or their facilities. Dedich can be activated from this list at any point during training camp. If he’s still on the NFI at the time the Rams cut down to 53-man players for the regular season, he will automatically miss a minimum of six weeks.
For Hamilton, he also can be activated from the PUP list during camp as soon as he passes a physical. He will miss at least the first four games if not activated by the 53-man roster deadline.
There are now 13 NFC West players on the PUP list, of which is worth continuing to track during training camp:
Seahawks
49ers
Cardinals
Rams
