The Los Angeles Rams turned a solid defense into a scary one to start June. Myles Garrett arriving inside the “Rams House” renewed Super Bowl conversations in LA. That trade via the Cleveland Browns even sparked a “legendary” admission from safety Kam Curl.
The veteran stopped by Up & Adams with Kay Adams back on Thursday reacting to the move. Curl can’t help but gleam about Garrett getting inserting into an already loaded defense.
“Right now it’s early. It’s only what, June, but I feel like we’ve got a chance to be legendary,” Curl bluntly said.

General manager Les Snead pulled off the massive move one month before teams report to training camp. Although rising Rams edge rusher star Jared Verse landed with the Browns in exchange for the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.
Still though, Curl feels the enthusiasm levels increasing after the Garrett deal.
“Just the type of guys we got, the coaches we got, we’ve got a bunch of experience back there,” Curl said. “We’ve got some Super Bowl winners in there, we’ve got some Defensive Player of the Years. We’ve got some guys that, if we do what we’ve got to do, we can be one of the best.”
Clearly on paper, this is the most talented defense and team Curl has played on. Curl helped create some early defensive movement on the Rams by signing a $36 million deal.
Snead didn’t hesitate to open his wallet up once again, especially with bringing in Garrett. June emerged as an energizing month for the franchise. But they’ll want that championship energy to stretch toward Valentine’s Day 2027 on Super Bowl Sunday.
