The Las Vegas Raiders are 2-4 after snapping a four-game losing streak in Week 6 with a win over the 1-5 Tennessee Titans.

The AFC is rough overall as there are five teams with one or fewer victories heading into Week 7. There are eight teams with a .500 record or better.

So, there is a chance for the Raiders to get right back in the playoff hunt despite a poor start to the season.

With 11 games remaining in the season, the Raiders need to make a move to catch up in both the AFC West (where they trail the 4-2 Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos by two games and the 3-3 Kansas City Chiefs by a game). So, the next stretch of game is critical. Yet, it won’t be easy.

Here is the Raiders’ next four games:

  • Week 7, at Kansas City.
  • Bye week.
  • Week 9, Nov. 2, hosting the 4-2 Jacksonville Jaguars.
  • Week, 10, Nov. 6 (Thursday night) at Denver.
  • Week 11, Nov. 17 (Monday night), hosting the 2-3-1 Dallas Cowboys.

We should know a lot about Pete Carroll’s team after this stretch. They will 10 games into the season, and realistically, they will probably need to be 5-5 if they want to stay in the playoff chase. So, they need to go 3-1 in this span.

It won’t be easy as they play three good AFC foes with two of those games coming on the road against division rivals and one being on a short week. The Dallas game won’t be easy, either as the Cowboys have some talent and Allegiant Stadium is expected to be full of Cowboys’ fans in the prime-time matchup.

According to ESPN, the Raiders have the second toughest remaining schedule in the league.

The Raiders’ final seven games are against four teams that currently have a .500 record or better, the Raiders have to do what they can go get in position to be relevant down the stretch.

Thus, it all starts now.

Las Vegas dug itself an early-season hole and the only way out is to start knocking off some quality opponents in the next month.
