The Las Vegas Raiders signed linebacker Jamin Daivs to the practice squad last week. Let’s take a closer look at Davis:
Size:
6-4, 234 pounds.
NFL experience:|
Davis played for the Washington Commanders from 2021-24 when he was cut during the season. He was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad shortly later. He was with Minnesota and and the Jets in 2024. The Jets cut him this August. Davis has played in 54 NFL games with 36 starts. He has eight career sacks.
College:
Davis went to Kentucky. He was a first-round draft choice of the Commanders in 2021, the 19th overall pick.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Davis, who will turn 27 in December, could be in the mix for the Raiders as the season progresses. He has experience at linebacker and defensive end, so he is flexible. He is known as a better run stopper than pass-rusher. He is very athletic, but he hasn’t had great success in the league. But expect him to get some chances in Las Vegas.
