Running back was just added to 53-man roster

The Las Vegas Raiders signed running back Chris Collier off of their practice squad this week.

Let’s take a closer look at Collier:

Size:

5-11, 210 pounds.

NFL experience:

He signed with the Baltimore Ravens this season as an undrafted free agent. He was cut in August and put on the practice squad. He did play in five games with the Ravens. He returned 10 kickoffs. He was then released. The Raiders signed him to the practice squad in November.

College:

Collier spent the 2023 season at Lock Haven, a Division II school. He was at 2020-22 after spending two seasons at a junior college where he began as a fourth-string running back.

How he will fit in with Raiders:

The speedy Collier, 24. takes the place of Sincere McCormick, who is out for the season with an ankle injury. He will be a backup and could play some special teams. Collier is in the same backfield as fellow rookie Dylan Laube via this article from the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The two have known each other since high school in New York state.
