The Las Raiders signed punter Brad Robbins to the practice squad this week. Let’s take a closer look at Robbins:

Size:

6-0, 203 pounds.

NFL experience:|

Robbins punted for the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023. He was cut in 2024 after starting the season on the injured reserve. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills this offseason. He was cut after Week 1 this season. He has a 44.1 yards per punt average in his career and he averaged 39.5 yards per punt on four punts with the Bills.

College:

Robbins went to Michigan. He was a sixth-round draft choice of the Bengals in 2023.

How he will fit in with Raiders:

Robbins is needed because star Raiders’ punter A.J. Cole suffered a low-ankle sprain in Sunday’s 40-6 loss at the Indianapolis Colts when he was injured on a blocked punt. Las Vegas coach Pete Carroll said A.J. Cole will try to kick Friday in an attempt to play Sunday. If Cole can’t play Sunday when the Raiders host the Tennessee Titans at Allegiant Stadium (kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PT), Robbins will be elevated from the practice squad to punt in the game. That can happen for the next four weeks if Cole’s injury lingers.
