Las Vegas signed pass-rusher this week
The Las Vegas Raiders signed linebacker Andre Carter II off of the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad this week.
Let’s take a closer look at Carter:
Size:
6-6, 256 pounds.
NFL experience:
He made the Vikings’ 53-man roster as an undrafted rookie. He played in 12 games and had two tackles. He didn’t make the 2024 team in training camp and he spent the season on the Vikings’ practice squad.
College:
He went to Army. He played his final three seasons. He had 15.5 sacks as a junior and was third team All-American.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
He helps a depleted pass-rush group with Maxx Crosby out for the season with ankle injury and Janarius Robinson is serving a three-game NFL suspension for violating the substance abuse policy. In addition to Carter, the Raiders have K’Lavon Chaisson, Tyree Wilson and Charles Snowden at pass-rusher. So, Carter may get a chance to make a case for a 2025 roll in Las Vegas.
