Battle brewing on offensive line

Earlier in the offseason, it appeared their would be a chaotic battle for the three interior starting offensive line position for the Las Vegas Raiders.

It was reported that four players Jackson Powers-Johnson, Alex Cappa, Dylan Parham and Jordan Meredith would be battling for three spots with Powers-Johnson, Parham and Meredith in the both at both center and guard and Cappa (signed as a free agent this offseason) solely fighting for a guard spot.

But as the OTA sessions has developed, it has become clear that Jackson is set at center and Cappa is likely to be one of the games. Thus, barring something unforeseen, it seems the only question on the interior line will be whether it’s Parham and or Meredith will start with Powers-Johnson and Cappa.

So, that will be one f the primary battles during training camp.

Parham, entering the final season of his contract, started 14 games at right guard in 2024. Parham, who turned 26 in August, and has 48 starts since being a third-round pick in 2022.

Meredith, 27, played well as an injury replacement last season as he started eight games in the first extensive playing time of his young career.

It should be a fun battle to watch this summer.
