The Las Vegas Raiders are starting the regular season with four running backs on the roster as they try to rebound from a poor 2024 season at the position.

The Raiders’ 2025 running back group, of course, is led by rookie, first-round pick Ashton Jeanty. The Raiders are also keeping free-agent addition, veteran Raheem Mostert and keeping incumbents Zamir White and Dylan Laube.

Sincere McCormick, who flashed some last season, was cut.

The Raiders should feel good about this group. Let’s face it; it’ all starts with Jeanty.

He will be the focal point of the ground game immediately and he will also get involved in the receiving game out of the backfield.

White and Mostert will likely both get a chance to be in the rotation behind Jeanty. Perhaps the two backup’s roles will vary week-to-week based on the game plan or the opponent. But both White and Mostert should be involved.

Laube, a 2024 sixth-round pick, will probably be mostly a special teamer who can get limited play on offense based on circumstances. Like alst year, Laube will have to prove he is worth being part of the game-day active roster. He was active for 10 games last season.
