A lot of fans not feeling Cousins as a bridge quarterback
Kirk Cousins last game played in 2024 (and likely his last game as a member of the Atlanta Falcons) was played against the Las Vegas Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
If many of our community members have their way, his next game will not be played as a member of the Raiders’ organization.
We still have no idea who will be the Raiders’ starting quarterback will be in the 2025 season, but it’s clear there aren’t a lot of people feeling the idea of Cousins, who is expected to be cut by the Falcons after a tough first season in Atlanta, being the answer.
We recently asked out community members if they would like to see the Raiders consider using Cousins as a bridge starter this upcoming season if they can’t find their long-term solution at quarterback. There wasn’t much interest in that idea.
In a poll with 847 votes cast, 511 voters (65 percent) aren’t interested in Cousins joining the Raiders, while 296 voters (35 percent) are on board with the notion.
The landslide vote not in favor of Cousins, who will be 37 next season, wearing the Silver and Black is understandable. Cousins is on the deep downside of his career and the band-aid approach hasn’t worked the past two seasons.
So, yeah, we get it.
