There are still some players available who could help
The Las Vegas Raiders still have some need areas after the NFL Draft and there are some players available in free agency. Here are some possible fits:
Keenan Allen:
The Raiders could use another veteran wide receiver on a short-term deal and Allen makes some sense as a depth piece. Remember, he’s played under new Raiders’ wide receiver coach Chris Beatty in the past four years. It would be a smooth transition.
Rasul Douglas:
He’s one of the better cornerbacks out there and the Raiders have a need there. Why not?
Mike Hilton:
Another solid cornerback who could come in and be one of Las Vegas’ better players at the position.
Asante Samuel Jr.
The Raiders have a big question mark at nickel cornerback in the post-Nate Hobbs’ era. He is not perfect, but he would fill a hole and have a key role on Pete Carroll’s defense.
Justin Simmons:
The Raiders like young Isaiah Pola-Mao and he will get a chance to start But Simmons is a quality player who could bring some personality to the back end of a defense. The Raiders could use some veteran leadership in the secondary Simmons would be a valuable addition.
Za’Darius Smith:
The veteran pass-rusher may have better fits because the Raiders would use him as a rotational piece. But they could use some more pass-rush juice and the accomplished Smith would provide it.
