Should Raiders reunite wide receiver with 1st NFL coach?

We’ve talked about a couple of of Pete Carroll’s former quarterbacks with the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson and Geno Smith, who could join him with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025.

But the list doesn’t stop there and there will be other former of Carroll’s Seahawks players who could end up in Las Vegas.

One such player could potentially be wide receiver D.K. Metcalf. There has been some speculation that Seattle could listen to trade offer for the athletic Metcalf, who Carroll drafted in the second round in 2019 and who shared a classic moment at the NFL Combine with.

Metcalf is a special talent. He had 66 catches for 992 yards in 2024 and he has three 1,000 yard receiving seasons.

Metcalf could make a good pair with Raiders’ top wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. He would likely want a lucrative new contract extension and he probably would cost a high-to-mid round pick.
