The Las Vegas Raiders are struggling against the Colts in the first half. Now they might not be able to punt for the rest of the game. Raiders punter AJ Cole was struck during a block punt that gave the Indianapolis Colts great field position that led to a touchdown.
What was already an awful play for the Special teams became even worse when AJ Cole was taken to the locker room after the hit. He has been ruled questionable to return for the game after being evaluated by the Raiders’ trainers.
With the offense unable to finish drives with touchdowns, this news might put the Raiders in permanent four-down territory. Missing their Pro Bowl punter is a massive blow to a team that is already facing plenty of injuries heading into the matchup. It will be interesting to see what Pete Carroll’s strategy will be as the game progresses without their punter.
